Campaigns

The MS Trust campaigns for better health services for people with MS. The campaigns section of this website outlines the specific areas in which we are currently involved to improve the services that people with MS receive from the NHS.

Our campaigns are informed by government policy. The National Policy pages contain information about current government policy and how this affects health services for people with MS.

The MS Trust believes that people with MS should:

  • Have access to high quality services to enable them to maintain as active a lifestyle as possible
  • Have access to trained health care professionals including MS specialist neurologists, nurses, and therapists
  • Be equal partners with the professionals in making choices about their care
  • Have the information to help make the right choices for them
  • Have access to joined up services – health and social care

Taking Control campaign

A joint campaign by the Neurological Alliance (of which the MS Trust is a member), ABPI and Ask About Medicines. Taking Control aims to ensure people with a neurological condition have access to appropriate information and specialist advice as set out in the National Service Framework for Long-Term Neurological Conditions or the NICE MS Management Guidelines.
