Support from RAF St Athan

One of our major supporters in this scheme is RAF St Athan, who since becoming involved in October 2003 have already recycled printer cartridges to the value of over £235. RAF St Athan chose to support the MS Trust at the suggestion of Alan Worrall, who works for Atkins Defence, and who sadly lost his sister, Jill, to multiple sclerosis in 2002.

Flight Lieutenant Ruary Edmond said, 'When Alan came to me with the suggestion for the collection I was delighted to be able to help. Not only are we ensuring that the ink cartridges are disposed of safely, but it is a great way to give financial support to this very worthwhile cause.'

Diane Lewis and Chris Roblin, who both have MS and were friends of Jill, were invited to RAF St Athan in the summer to see for themselves how the collecting was going. Diane is a great advocate for the scheme in Wales, and is working hard to involve other companies in the area. She said of St Athan, 'It's great that everyone here wants to be involved and help. It would be lovely if even more companies recycled their cartridges to raise money for MS.'
