Jumping for joy for the MS Trust
On Saturday 25 September 2011 Lorna Ross, her big brother Alistair Rennie and nephew John Rennie completed a 10,000ft tandem skydive to raise money for the MS Trust, and were delighted to raise a staggering total of £4,545.
They have been fundraising hard since the jump was booked back in March and, after losing out to the weather in June, they finally made the great leap at the end of September at Paragon Skydiving Club in Errol, Perthshire.
All three loved every moment of the jump and would do it again in a flash, and would like to thank all at Paragon for making the experience so enjoyable and thankfully pain free!!!
The MS Trust is a charity close to their hearts, as Lorna was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis back in 1998. The MS Trust provided valuable reassurance and support following diagnosis and continues to do so now. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common cause of neurological disability in young adults, affecting 100,000 people in the UK. Everyone knows the negative images that a diagnosis can conjure up but whilst no-on denies that MS can be devastating, positive steps can be taken to improve quality of life. MS may be incurable but it is far from untreatable.
Lorna, Alistair and John have been rendered speechless with the boundless generosity of everyone who they approached asking for sponsorship, either in person or using their online Virgin Money Giving website. All three would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, and an even bigger thank you to all their family and friends who willing took sponsor forms to work and social occasions to help reach their target.
