Champagne lunch with a 'Butler in the Buff'!

Anne Hodder from Kew raised a fabulous £1,300 at her My Supper for MS in September 2006. She also raised a few eyebrows in our office when we saw her photos! Anne tells us all about her lunch with a 'Butler in the Buff'...

"I invited about 30 girlfriends and together with my daughter Charlotte planned a fun-filled event. As I had held a coffee morning for Macmillan the previous year, I decided this time I had to have an edge to attract people to come.

"Charlotte and I decided to hire a semi-naked waiter to serve the drinks for an hour! We approached a company called 'Butlers in the Buff' - they very kindly agreed to charge less than they usually do. A delightful young man arrived and this got the party off to a roaring success.

"My daughter Charlotte worked for a company called Lodge Catering and they very kindly agreed to provide us with the most delicious lunch plus all the catering equipment at cost. The food was divine. I had also approached local companies in Kew who very generously gave wonderful raffle prizes or vouchers for local restaurants. This again was fantastic and the raffle raised further money.

"Charlotte and I thoroughly enjoyed organising the lunch and my friends are still talking about what fun it was. Of course the 'Butler in the Buff' continues to be a talking point."

The MS Trust would like to say a huge thank you to Anne, Charlotte and everyone involved in the lunch for raising the most money at a My Supper for MS in 2006!
