MS Trust Information Service
The MS Trust's Information Service, made up of six trained information professionals, is the core of what we do. It costs nearly £300,000 a year to run.
We receive over 550 calls each month and are in contact with over 36,000 people including people who have or are affected by MS, and health professionals.
- Anyone affected by MS can call or email us with questions
- If we don't know the answer immediately we will research and find out
- We also produce books and factsheets on MS, which are provided free
Our information team answer personal enquiries and provide information which is personally tailored, unbiased and balanced. The types of enquiries they receive vary from people wanting to know the location of MS nurses, employment issues, treatments and research. Our information service often provides much-needed support for people who contact us.
We know from evaluation carried out for us by the University of Central England and from a wealth of personal comments that the information we provide is highly valued by users, who see it as prompt, supportive and easy to understand.
We are not the only MS charity, but we are providing a service no one else is offering and we are recognised as being the best at what we do.

Here are some of the things people have said...
I'm very grateful for the help you are providing. I really do think that the MS Trust is a brilliant resource for professionals and people with MS.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for the help, support and empathy shown by the information officer I spoke to, and the time she took to fully explain and inform me of all the complexities associated with MS.
Thank you ever so much for such a detailed response. It has answered my questions and reassured me as to how to approach this sensitive issue.
